TRIP INFO
Luxury individual cabin style tents with full size beds, marine toilets installed at each portable camp as well as meals designed and served by chefs, means the benefits of camping in the most remote and virgin corner of the northern Orinoco Basin, without sacrificing any comfort of a mixed lodge.
For the full amazon experience, full of payara, peacock bass, catfish and sardinata; from casting poppers in a feeding frenzy to sight casting in a pocket, Orinoco luxury camping expedition is the trip.

You will be staying for your first and last night of this expedition in either a Marriott or Movich hotel.
Airport pickup is included and provided by Fish Colombia.
At the hotel you will be met by one of our hosts who will be there waiting for you to help you check in. Dinner that night is not included.
The next day you will join the main guide in the hotel to take the daily flight from Bogotá - Puerto Carreno from the Aeropuerto El Dorado.
At your arrival in Puerto Carreño our driver will be waiting for you to start the 4 hour 4x4 ride down unmarked roads through natural savannah full of deer, tapir, pumas and anacondas until you reach the mouth of the Tomo river.

The Orinoco camp is strategically situated along the section of the Orinoco River known for its exhilarating rapids
The amount of fish and low pressures means the fishing here is world class, expect to run into big payara, sardinata and bicuda. Boats are shared between 2 anglers.
Three rapid systems can be fished from this camp, as well as the mouth of the Tomo river.
After the 2 days of payara fishing, you will head up the river to access the peacock waters and change camps. You will cross the beautiful rapids of the river and we will reach the orinoco lodge where we will be spending the next 4 nights. The time spent will be under the protection of the local autonomous Sikuani natives.

Very strong game fish reaching close to 15 pounds. Pound for pound stronger than its larger cousin the speckled peacock bass the Orinoco Peacock bass inhabits the, Orinoco and Rio Negro basins.

A perfect designed sport fish, payara have speed, power, stamina, jumping ability and the meanest set of teeth in the animal kingdom.

Brycon Amazonicus
Caño Bocón is named after this species eagerly taking artificial lures and flies, Matrinxa are a perfect light tackle target
BLACK PACU
The seed dispenser of the Orinoco River these strong fish feed on fruits, seeds, nuts, fish, lizards, frogs and anything else it can get it´s mouth around.
